San Francisco 2016

A trip to San Francisco, CA in September 2016

Day 1

On Saturday, September 3, we woke up very early to head to the airport for our 6:30 a.m. flight. We had a quick layover in MSP, and then safely arrived in San Francisco! Today, we visited the Bay Bridge at night, walked down Market Street to see some of the buildings and restaurants along the way, and then finished up by eating dinner at The Grove.

Day 2

On Day 2, we took a quick cab ride from the hotel down to the Golden Gate Bridge. We walked across the bridge about halfway, and then started the 3 mile walk from the bridge to Ghirardelli Square. Along the way, we stopped to see the beach, take some pictures, and take in the sights.

Day 3

On the third day, we went down to Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. It was insanely busy, most likely because of the Labor Day holiday. We were able to see the sea lions and get some other great pictures. In the evening, we met up with some local friends for dinner.

Day 4

On the fourth day, we took a trip to see the Painted Ladies and to spend some time relaxing in Dolores Park. Both were very fun, and getting to sit in the sun in Dolores Park for a little while was great for relaxing. Afterwards, we walked around Valencia Street and headed back to the hotel. For dinner, we went to Hops & Hominy in the Financial District. It was amazing.

Day 5

On our last day, we spent time around the hotel for the most part. We ate a nice breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and then walked around Union Square until it was time to head back to the airport.
